WhatsApp campaigns

WhatsApp broadcast campaigns that respect your customers.

Clio sends WhatsApp broadcast campaigns — one approved template to many opted-in customers — through the official Meta Cloud API. Pick an audience by label, personalise the template from each contact’s details, send now or schedule it, and follow delivery and read rates as they come in.

  1. 1

    Audience

Choose who receives the campaign using contact labels from your CRM. Clio shows how many contacts that reaches before you continue, and opted-out contacts are left out automatically.

  2. 2

    Template

Pick a WhatsApp template Meta has approved. Templates are created and submitted from Clio, and their approval status syncs on its own.

  3. 3

    Variables

Fill the template’s placeholders from each contact — name, custom fields or fixed text — so every message reads as if it was written for that customer.

  4. 4

    Review, send or schedule

Check the summary and an estimate of Meta’s messaging cost, then send straight away or schedule the campaign for later. Messages are queued and sent in the background.

Results

See what each campaign actually did

Every campaign has its own results: how many messages were delivered, read and failed. Broadcast performance across campaigns is in Clio analytics, and customers who reply land in the shared inbox, where a workflow can pick the conversation up.

Offers and launches

Tell opted-in customers about a sale, a new collection or a restock with a media or limited-time-offer template.

Reminders

Remind a labelled group about renewals, fees, events or pending payments.

Re-engagement

Reach customers whose 24-hour window has closed with an approved template that invites them back into the conversation.

Announcements

Share timings, policy changes or service updates with everyone who has opted in.

Campaign questions

Questions about WhatsApp campaigns

How do WhatsApp broadcast campaigns work?

A broadcast sends one Meta-approved template to a list of contacts who have agreed to hear from you. In Clio you choose the audience by label, fill the template’s variables from contact data, and send or schedule; delivery and read statuses come back from Meta and are counted per campaign.

Why do campaigns need approved templates?

WhatsApp only allows free-form messages within 24 hours of a customer writing to you. Anything a business sends first — including broadcasts — must use a template Meta has approved.

Which plan includes broadcast campaigns?

Broadcast campaigns are included from the Growth plan. See Clio pricing.

Can I send campaigns on Instagram?

No. Instagram does not allow businesses to message people who haven’t written in first, so campaigns are WhatsApp-only. Learn more about Instagram messaging.
